There are numerous opportunities for both extra and super-curricular activities.  Many departments offer school trips to enhance their curriculums, with activities such as field work in the local area, trips to London to visit the theatre and Auschwitz, students undertake a curriculum that is both theoretical and practical as well.  We also offer a skiing trip, a visit to China with our twinned school, and Duke of Edinburgh award challenges.  Our super curricular offer is also highly impressive, with our students undertaking Olympiads in Chemistry, Biology and Physics, being part of academic links with our local universities of Exeter, Plymouth and Marjons.

Our students also have the opportunities to develop their leadership through SWAT challenge, being part of the Leadership Collective, or one of the numerous ambassadorial or mentoring roles that are available.  At DHSG we feel that curriculum should present opportunity and as such, encourages our students to be critical scholars.
