Students Shine with Record-Breaking GCSE Results at Devonport High School for Girls
Students at Devonport High School for Girls are celebrating an exceptional set of GCSE examination results, achieving the strongest outcomes in the school's history. Students attained an average grade of 8 across all subjects, with 73% of entries awarded the top grades of 9 to 7. Notably, one in four results achieved were at Grade 9, the highest grade available.
These remarkable achievements reflect the hard work, resilience and academic ambition of our students, supported throughout their studies by the dedication of staff and the unwavering encouragement of their families.
Lee Sargeant, Head Teacher, said: "We are absolutely delighted with this year's GCSE results, which represent the highest level of achievement the school has ever seen. These outcomes are a testament to the determination, commitment and talent of our students, who have worked incredibly hard to reach this point."
"I am immensely proud of everything they have accomplished and the way they have embraced both the opportunities and challenges of their education. Their success is thoroughly deserved."
"I would also like to thank our outstanding staff and supportive families, whose guidance, expertise and encouragement have played such an important role in helping our students achieve these exceptional results. We look forward to welcoming many of our students into the Sixth Form in September and wish all of them every success and happiness as they take their next steps."
