DHSG wins a local award in the key stage 4 category of the Pupil Premium Awards 2016.
Sam Gyimah MP, Minister for Childcare and Education, congratulated Devonport High School for Girls on winning a local award in the Key Stage 4 category of the Pupil Premium Awards 2016. The reason we were selected is that we were one of the high achieving schools in the country in terms of the attainment and value-added progress of disadvantaged students since 2012. Also, an above-average percentage of our disadvantaged students achieved the EBacc in 2015. “It is clear that you and your staff have provided your disadvantaged students with a good start in life and prepared them well for further study, training or employment. I would like to congratulate your governors, parents and students for their hard work and success, and thank you for your leadership in making such a difference to the future success of your students.
We are now eligible to submit an application to win the regional or national award!!
