It has been great to see the new Year 7 students settling into life at DHSG, with one commenting “it’s even better than I thought it would be!”.
To develop teamwork skills across the year group, we visited Wildwood at Escot Park on 13th September. Students navigated around the woods in an orienteering task and there was plenty of encouragement to complete the drop slide en route. Everyone found their way through the maze to make wooden name badges as a memento of the day. The highlight was the legendary Swamp Walk, which has become a rite of passage for all DHSG students, with some students getting fully immersed in the activity!
We hope that the students made some lasting memories and that they keep the positive attitude and willingness to meet every challenge.
