Members of the DHSG English Department held a Podcast workshop last Friday for TLP Most Able students in which Year 7 and 12 worked collaboratively to consider why silence is dangerous and examine the power of the spoken word. This involved two workshops 'Speaking- we're naturals, right?' and 'You talking to me?' which helped students develop their speaking style, consider the role of their voice in society, learn from speakers past and present and appreciate the significance of Aristotle's 'On Rhetoric' to write speeches themselves which were finally performed and recorded live.
