14 - 20 May 2018
This week is Mental Health Awareness Week 2018 on the theme 'Stress: Are we coping' and we have lots of activities going on in school.
We intensify our work on mental health to mark this week annually by promoting the need for students and staff to take a moment to eat good food, sleep well, be kind to themselves and others and hug a tree ......... hopefully that will become clearer as the week progresses!
If your daughter or son is in Year 11 or Year 13 they will have a more limited access to the programme due to their examination commitments. We wish them huge success and recognise that although stress can be seen as inevitable at this time, we want to encourage them to use the strategies we have explored with them and be mindful that decreasing stress with self-care is possible.
Please find below the programme of events being run throughout the week and also a wellbeing reading list that is available to students from our school Library.
